MULTI-FUNCTION
A BETTER SOLUTION OF DOWN QUILT
Most of the down quilts must be used with a sleeping mat that’s placed inside the quilt, which surrounds the sleeping mat and shares the insulation. In this case, the “cold chamber” is formed on the two sides along with the conjunction between the sleeping mat and the down quilt, and this will make you feel cold.
Ice Flame down quilts can be attached to the sleeping mat with buckles and straps. It can be completely fixed on top of the sleeping mat instead of surrounding it, so the sides of the quilt is underneath your body, and this eliminates the “cold chamber” and improves the heat preservation performance.
Regular Mummy style sleeping bags have better thermal insulation in cold environment, but the temperature rating range is quite limited, so it won’t be ideal when hiking in a trail which has great temperature changes due to different terrains. However, down quilts usually apply to a wide range of temperature rating. Namely, you can sleep comfortably in a winter down quilt in warmer weather as well.
USING AS THERMAL WEAR
Ice Flame down quilt can be used as a quilt or sleeping bag, or an extra layer for a Mummy style sleeping bag in extreme environment. You can use it at home as a quality down quilt as well. And most amazingly, you can use this quilt at a campground as a thermal wear which saves a lot of weight and pack space.
